What is it?

Addiction and family counselling, and family psychoeducation: learning how addiction works, what helps, and how to look after yourselves.

Who is it for?

For parents, spouses, children and siblings of someone with an addiction. Living with it is tiring and lonely, and family members often need support and clear information of their own. If your person isn't in treatment yet, WhatsApp us to ask how family support could work for you.

Questions families ask

How do I talk to someone I love about getting help?

Choose a calm moment, when they're sober. Talk about what you've seen and how it makes you feel, not labels like "addict". Keep it short, listen, and offer one next step, such as a free assessment. If they say no, that's common at first. You can WhatsApp us with your questions.

Can family be involved during treatment?

Yes. Family psychoeducation is part of the treatment and coaching stage of our programme, and we offer addiction and family counselling. Families learn how addiction works, what helps, and how to look after themselves along the way. WhatsApp us to ask how family sessions would work for you.

Can I message you before they agree to get help?

Yes. You can WhatsApp or call us about your situation even if your person hasn't agreed to treatment yet. Tell us what's happening and ask your questions. Many people aren't ready at first; in the Stages of Change model this first stage is called Precontemplation, and it's a normal starting point.
